Scope

Source, procure, and install double-sided acoustical curtains in conference rooms in buildings 21 and 22 in the FDA’s White Oak Campus.

Challenge

To complete the installation with the client’s desired specifications, PERISTYLE coordinated demolition, patching, repainting, and reinforcement of ceilings in conference rooms throughout the two buildings. New tracks were installed to accommodate the request for noise reduction non-motorized rails. To comply with NFPA 701 fire ratings, PERISTYLE sourced curtains from specialized fabricators.

Results

The new curtains optimized the usage of the FDA’s conference rooms and facilitated the coordination and scheduling of multiple meetings within a fixed space.
